PET a Success!

Mom was awesome today. She was calm and focused for the whole PET scan procedure. She did not move at all while in the scanner. I got to hold her hands for most of the time. After she was done, she said, "I'm so proud of me!" We all were! Luckily we had a big team to help celebrate: Tom, Melinda, and mom's sister Jane were part of the entourage as well.

I asked her if she was ready to do it again tomorrow, and she said yes. "I feel good."

Hooray! Mission accomplished. Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode: Pre-Op with Dr. Zimmer.

How You Can Help

We have been overwhelmed (in a good way!) by the number of people who have offered to help. As one way to respond to this outpouring of support, my aunts and uncles have been kind enough to set up a non-profit account if you wish to contribute financially to the care and treatment of our dear Rosie. (Note: she is insured; the fund would help cover travel expenses, co-pays, and other miscellaneous things that come up.)

The name of the account is "Ten on the Tenth," which is just a suggestion, in case you need a little direction. :) The account is located at River Valley Bank here in Madison.
